Best for: Growing websites, web applications, and developers who need root access
Hostinger Pros & Cons
What We Like
- Some of the cheapest introductory prices on the market — shared hosting from £1.49/month and VPS from £4.99/month
- UK data centre option, giving lower latency for British visitors
- LiteSpeed web servers with LiteSpeed Cache for fast WordPress performance
- Custom hPanel control panel that is clean and beginner-friendly
- Free domain (first year), free SSL and an AI website builder on most plans
- KVM VPS plans with generous RAM and NVMe storage for the price
What Could Be Better
- Advertised prices only apply to long 48-month terms paid upfront
- Renewal prices are several times higher than the introductory rates
- No phone support — help is via live chat and email only
- Entry-level Single plan is limited to one website and 10 GB storage
- Daily backups require the Business plan or higher
- Checkout includes several pre-ticked or prominent upsells
